The Seven Habits of Highly Effective people- lecture 22

Dr. Stephen R. Covey quotes "where do we get our sense of who we are." and "where do we get a sense of our life is about. He is stating who are we. We are all different he is talking about our characteristics. He is also talking about who impacts our lives who are the people that influence our lives and how we live and how we intake our problems. He says that they are our Social Mirrors such as our parents, siblings, teachers, leaders,media, heroes,models etc. You might get some or most of your knowledge from there but you really are you. He quotes from habit 2 " You are the guardian, the protector of your identity and your future." From habit 1The best way to predict your future is to create it. Habit 2 decides what your life is about. No matter how big or small the decision might be it falls into this category. You must see yourself what are you gonna do what are your visions. He says" Write the program create your own life and make it the best you can do. You must start with a blue print or a foundation on how and where to start planning your life. No matter the cost maybe you have to do everything right so your can can be on track you and others around you will be happy for you.

Saturday Homecoming Dance
This Homecoming that just passed on the 10-29-16 went great. It was at Linda Marquez and it was just so great because it was my first time ever going to a dance, but it wasn't that what made it wonderful it was going with my girl that just made my night. She also looked so gorgeous  in her light pink dress and her black heels she just looked so amazing. It was first time dancing and it was special especially because it was with her. To top it off the we won homecoming king and queen. She looked so beautiful with those flowers they gave her. When we both walked out once they called our names we kissed and the crowd was screaming for us. It was a night that i will never forget

Habit 1: Be proactive
" Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it come first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. Im responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
reflection: This is a very important habit that applies to all of us. We must take charge of our own life. You can do what you want to desire it is all up to you whether it be your happiness or not. You have the opportunities to change your life and path way. It is all up to you how good you want it to be. Since you can change things in your life and want the best it's to you to stay consistent with it. Its your Life you can possible do whatever you want. It's your Rules on how exactly you want to live. Dont let people tell how to live life in their perspective. You have a life you have your own different mind set so everyone's different.













Habit 2: Begin with the end of mind
"Control your own destiny ur someone else will."(Jack Welch)
"When you know where you intended to end up, you know where you are now."(covey)
reflection: I believe that this is a very important habit no matter who you are. Dont let others tell you who to be or what to be. You have control of your own life and destiny and have the power to change how you want to live. 









Habit3: Put first things first
"Organize and execute around priorities."
reflection: This habit applies to everyone and there decision making. You have to make certain things your number 1, things you have to take care of or get done. You can't get or be lazy because then you'll put your task or whatever it might be to side and not be good  for you in the end. If you put the first things you got to take care of you wont have to worry about things so much. You would be a little more stress free since you have to take care of things first before you can do anything else. You can also have people as your priority. Whether it be the one you love or it can also be family. It is like your job you have to automatically put certain things first no matter what it be. Whether it be homework, chores, or loved ones it all matter because it's your priorities. Its the things that matter the most to you and you have to take care of business before anything else. 
 







Habit 4: Think win-win
"Think win-win or no deal"
Reflection: This is a important quote and should apply to everyone. WIN-WIN should be the mentality you should have no matter how hard the obstacle might be or seems. You get to win and destroy any situations that seem difficult for you or anybody else. Having this positive attitude can win you everything that you want to achieve. No one is gonna achieve anything if they have a negative mentality or attitude. All they are gonna think about how things aren't working out and complain how hard the situation or obstacle is. Failure is gonna be in their eyes not focusing on winning. You cant accomplish anything or very very little with that negativity. So you have to stay focused and think positive and you will be guaranteed to have a higher chance achieving your goals.  

Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood 
"Diagnose before you prescribe"
reflection: This is a great habit to actually understand. You have to listen to understand the whole situation whatever it may be. Listen before you talk to understand the other person's perspective. They might be saying and meaning something else but if you listen carefully and let them explain themselves it would change the way on them, It doesn't hurt to listen to the other person and the way they think and feel because we are all different so we tend to say things differently but does not change the meaning or how we feel. Listening is the key to everything because it manages time and gets a better understanding on people and/or certain problems. Listening and understanding is a must to get a solution. 

Habit 6: Synergize
"The whole grain is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)
reflection: This quote is very important to all people living. This quote makes people gotta think and must work together. It is very important because it not only affects you but also those around you. No matter where you are in life you're always gonna have to work with people if you like them or not. It is beneficial because it get things done faster and easier. e



Habit 7: Sharpen the saw
The Four Dimensions of self-renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional 
reflection: This quote is very important because it has a very good meaning. Everyone says that only you knows you the best. Well this is very true but do you really understand and know yourself. We have four different dimensions which are Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional. This is a must you have to understand what this is. Then you really should understand who you are and makes you realize how you can live life differently.
 









Reflection: All of these Habits are important and you should always keep and practice them. It not only impacts you and makes you into a better person but also those around you. Your actions they change also the way you think you will be more knowledgeable and wise when you choose to make a decisions. When you keep on doing it you will get to know yourself better. You will get to know yourself better physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially/emotionally.  Only you know yourself the best and you must get to know yourself the best. When your at your best those around you will be at there best too. Its because of your vibe and the way you do things. It will help you work together with others. When you work together you get things faster you become proactive and start thinking positive and always want to be number 1. The you will seeing results having to put your priorities first and keep doing what your doing in life being a self made person. Being the best as possible reaching your fullest potential.
